Most artist originals are fairly
large. When we were doing the Marvel superhero portfolios, we
worked at about 16" X 24"--which isn't really all that
big. But it was too much for us. Those days are over.
Now we rarely do a painting larger than
about 11" X 17", and more often than not work at about
8 1/2" X 11". Those are natural sizes for us because
Steve is usually airbrushing over a photocopy of Rich's pencils
(see "Originals").
So the majority of our originals are small,
and our prints are mostly in the 7" X 9" range, with
a few larger and a few smaller. (That's image area; we leave
some border for matting. Although they look just fine stuck to
the wall with a piece of gum, in our experience.) If you're hurting
for space, or just need a few images to nestle in between your
Bisleys and your Maitzs, you've come to the right (or at least,
relatively inexpensive), place...
